ABOUT
The mission of this Arts Festival is to celebrate the written, visual, and performance arts, showcase the many talented artists of Danville, and highlight the beauty of the River District.
WORDS FROM HOME (WRITING PUBLICATION)
A collection of short prose, essays, and poetry by authors from the Danville/ Pittsylvania County region of Virginia.
Organized by the Ruby B. Archie Public Library as part of the Reflections of Home Arts Festival, “Words From Home” will feature a collection of short prose, essays, and poetry by authors from the Danville/ Pittsylvania County region of Virginia.
Writers of all types are invited to submit a short work for publication, beginning June 2nd. We hope that through various writing forms, genres, and topics; these works will reflect the diversity of our community. We feel this publication will provide a unique opportunity not only for writers to receive public recognition for their work, but for our community to engage with art and one another.

REFLECTIONS OF HOME ART EXHIBITION
Organized by the Ruby B. Archie Public Library as part of the Reflections of Home Arts Festival, this exhibition will feature works submitted by local artists. Staff at the Ruby B. Archie Public Library will begin accepting submissions for the Reflections of Home Art Exhibition beginning August 1st.
This year’s theme will be No Place Like Home. What makes a place truly feel like home? This year, we invite artists ages 13 and up to explore the theme No Place Like Home through painting, photography, and mixed media. Whether it’s a favorite room, a cherished person, or the smell of a meal passed down through generations—show us what "home" means to you.
