All the required forms necessary to qualify to have your name on the ballot for a Constitutional Office for an election to be held November 4, 2025, are filed at the General Registrar's Office, 530 Main Street, 1st Floor, Suite 100, Danville. The filing deadline is Tuesday, June 17, 2025, by 7:00 pm.

The Candidate Bulletin contains complete information on all the forms required, and where they must be filed. A minimum of 125 signatures of registered voters of the City of Danville is required in order to have the candidate's name placed on the ballot. It is recommended that a candidate submit at least 175 signatures.

Candidate packets containing all the required forms may be picked up from the Registrar's Office at 530 Main Street, 1st Floor, Suite 100, Danville, between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm Monday through Friday.

Campaign Finance Reports are required to be filed timely. All candidates must file their campaign finance reports electronically with the Virginia Department of Elections using COMET. The schedule of filings is posted by the Department of Elections.
