Technical Rescue Team

About the Team

The Danville Technical Rescue Team consists of 27 dedicated fire department members who are trained to handle specialized rescue.

Members' certifications include Rope 1, Rope 2, Rope 3, Confined Space Entry, Trench Rescue, Vehicle Extrication, Farm Equipment Emergencies, Structural Collapse, and Swift Water Rescue.

Functions

Technical rescue is any rescue that is out of the ordinary and takes specialized training and equipment to have a positive outcome. Types of rescue include high-angle rope rescue, confined space, and trench and building collapse.
