Free for All: The Public Library tells the story of how public libraries shaped the country and continue to be a sanctuary for Americans everywhere. From the pioneering women behind the “Free Library Movement” to today's library workers, meet those who created a civic institution where knowledge is freely accessible and the doors are open to all. Solve puzzles, defeat the monsters, and discover treasure along the way. All experience levels are welcome. This is a 5th edition game. First time participants receive a free set of dice. In this program, we’re playing with non-linear adventure stories that give your readers multiple paths: they choose what decisions your characters make and how the story unfolds! Ages 10-17. Are you knowledgeable about black bears? Join the Dan River Basin Association and Master Naturalists to learn everything you need to know! The Living with Black Bears program educates communities on safely coexisting with black bears. This program teaches you all about bears, bear behavior, safety tips, and preventative measures to reduce human-bear conflicts. This program promotes practices like securing food and garbage and avoiding attractants. This program is sponsored by the Department of Wildlife Resources and is meant for ages 8 and up, families are welcome. Registration is required. Call (434) 799-5150.

Did you know that releasing ladybugs is a natural way to reduce pests in our community? Join Danville Outdoors as we release ladybugs and take another step toward becoming a Bee City! During this fun and educational program, the community will learn the importance of these tiny insects and help release them into our potted plants in downtown Danville.
