Are you knowledgeable about black bears? Join the Dan River Basin Association and Master Naturalists to learn everything you need to know! The Living with Black Bears program educates communities on safely coexisting with black bears. This program teaches you all about bears, bear behavior, safety tips, and preventative measures to reduce human-bear conflicts. This program promotes practices like securing food and garbage and avoiding attractants. Did you know that releasing ladybugs is a natural way to reduce pests in our community? Join Danville Outdoors as we release ladybugs and take another step toward becoming a Bee City! During this fun and educational program, the community will learn the importance of these tiny insects and help release them into our potted plants in downtown Danville.
