Federal tax filing for individuals, businesses, international filers, nonprofits and government entities.
The IRS sponsors the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program at many locations for taxpayers who qualify. The VITA program offers free tax help to people who make $67,000 or less, persons with disabilities, the elderly, and taxpayers who speak limited English. AARP Foundation Tax-Aide Program
The AARP Foundation Tax-Aide Program provides free tax assistance to taxpayers with low to moderate incomes, with priority to seniors age 60 and older. To learn more about this program and eligibility, visit AARP.
United Way
For taxpayers who earned less than $84,000 in 2024, there is an option for filing their federal and state taxes at no cost at the United Way’s myfreetaxes.com site. There, taxpayers will be asked a series of questions and guided through the entire electronic tax filing process.
