TRAFFIC ALERT – ROAD WORK SCHEDULED: Nighttime milling and paving on Piedmont Drive to begin Sunday, May 18

Starting Sunday night, May 18, Adams Construction will begin milling and paving operations along Piedmont Drive from Piney Forest Road to Riverside Drive, including several ramps. The project is scheduled to continue through mid-June, weather permitting.

Work will take place during evening and overnight hours to minimize daytime traffic disruption. Each night, operations will begin after 7 p.m. and conclude before 7 a.m. the following morning. Crews will be working Sunday nights through Friday mornings each week. No work is planned for the weekends.

Motorists should expect delays while the work is underway. Law enforcement officers will be on-site to help direct traffic through the construction zone. Drivers are urged to use caution, reduce speed, and remain patient as they travel through the area.
