The Danville Fire Department has completed its investigation of the fire located at 18 Oakland Ave.  The fire occurred around 03:57am Monday February 17, 2020.

The fire was caused by improper use of heating equipment.

The deceased has been identified as Wesley P. Delaney 62 years old, and his wife Dawn Marie Delaney 51 years old.

The victims were transferred to the State of Virginia Medical Examiner’s office in Medical in Roanoke, VA.
