The Danville Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire this morning at 04:30 am with 15 personnel initially.  E3 arrived to find heavy smoke coming from the residence with all the occupants outside and accounted for.  Fire department personnel began the extinguishment process and also searched the home for any additional people, neither were found.  However, one pet was found deceased.  No other injuries were reported.  The fire department remained on scene while the Fire Marshal's office started their investigation to determine a cause.  The DFD was assisted on scene by the Danville Life Saving Crew, Danville PD, Danville Electric Dept., and Danville Water & Gas.  The American Red Cross was notified and they will be assisting the occupants.
