As of Monday, July 7, temporary access changes are in effect at the Danville Visitor Center, located at 645 River Park Drive, to accommodate ongoing construction improvements. The renovation process is expected to continue through August 2025.
While construction is underway, public restrooms remain accessible through the front main entrance. To enter the Visitor Center, guests must now use a temporary entrance located at the back of the building. On-site signage is posted to help direct visitors to the correct access points.
The renovation project includes a redesigned interior layout with a centralized reception desk, an expanded patio, training space, improved storage for merchandise and collateral, and enhanced technology features such as a sound dome.
The project is a collaboration between the City of Danville and local partners, Quality Construction and Dewberry.
The Danville Visitor Center continues to operate under normal business hours, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m., Sunday through Saturday.
