1. How do I put money on an inmate’s account at the City Jail?

There are two ways to put money on an inmate’s account: 

1. On the internet at https://deposits.jailatm.com/webdeposits/
2. Lockdown Kiosk, located in the Danville City Jail lobby at 401 Patton Street

2. How can I enroll someone in Project Life Saver?

Families and caregivers should contact the Danville Sheriff's Office at (434) 799-5135 and submit information on Alzheimer, Dementia, or Downs Syndrome victims. This information will be forwarded to the coordinator of the program to be reviewed for possible acceptance into the program.

3. Can I bring medication to an inmate?

Prescription medication will be accepted for inmates at any time. The medication must be in the prescription bottle. The same applies to glasses, hearing aids, etc. Any person caught attempting to deliver contraband to inmates will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.
