In honor of International Firefighters’ Day, Caesars Virginia proudly hosted members of the Danville Fire Department on Tuesday, May 6, to celebrate their brand-new $1.6 million fire truck. The vehicle was gifted by Caesars Virginia as part of its ongoing partnership with the City of Danville and its continued commitment to supporting the community’s first responders.
The celebration included a special first responder breakfast at Ramsay’s Kitchen by Gordon Ramsay, serving as a gesture of appreciation for the fire department's service and dedication.
“This is a reflection of our gratitude to the Danville Fire Department and our commitment to investing in the safety and well-being of the community we're proud to call home,” said Chris Albrecht, Senior Vice President & General Manager of Caesars Virginia. “We are thankful for the opportunity to support our first responders and celebrate their hard work.”
Danville Fire Chief David Coffey, who attended the event, noted the impact of the fire truck: "This truck is a huge addition to what we already have here in Danville, making our firefighting capabilities much more effective and efficient. It’s a true example of how strong community partnerships can make a lasting impact.”
Caesars Virginia remains dedicated to building meaningful partnerships and finding future opportunities to support the community. The fire truck celebration follows a recent $35,000 grant that Caesars Virginia funded on behalf of the Danville-Pittsylvania County Habitat for Humanity to support the organization's Aging in Place program.
